Dr. Amanda Jamil hails from the sun-kissed lands of Australia but ventured to Edmonton to be closer to her loved ones. Despite her roots in tropical North Queensland, she’s welcoming the chilly embrace of Edmonton.
Her academic journey saw her excel at James Cook University, where she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery with distinction. Seeking to broaden her horizons, she went into general dentistry in rural Australia, catering to the needs of the community within the public sector. In this environment, she developed an appreciation for maximizing the use of available resources, even when they were limited.
Adaptability became second nature as she navigated new environments, honing her ability to manage complex dental cases and treatments effectively. With a wealth of experience as a Children’s Dentist, she successfully navigates treating both anxious and pediatric patients, always striving to foster a serene and comforting atmosphere within Heritage Dental Centre.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Jamil can be found in the company of a captivating book and a steaming London Fog. And when the urge strikes, you might catch her strengthening her skills in Jiu Jitsu within the confines of the dojo.
